小岛热情治愈留学生活

在国内大学毕业后，我开始工作，可能是毕业后的迷茫吧，我在工作一年后，有了想提升自己，出国留学的想法，希望能够继续学习，提高自己的能力。爱尔兰这个国家对于中国留学生来说，是一个小众国家，相对中国留学生群体小，能迫使我独立自主，提高英语能力，同时，我喜欢户外徒步，爱尔兰的自然景色深深吸引了我。

After graduating from university, I started working. Maybe because of confusion after graduation. After working for a year, I had the idea to study abroad and improve myself, hoping to continue studying and improve my abilities. Ireland is not a popular country for Chinese students to choose to study. it can force me to be independent and improve my English ability. At the same time, I like outdoor hiking. The natural sceneries of Ireland attract me deeply.

在申请学校的过程中，我认为我的自我规划能力得到了提高，我通过查阅学校官网，了解课程并结合自身能力选择合适自己的专业及学校。定好方向后，在语言准备阶段，我认为我在时间管理能力方面有所提升，学习语言比较枯燥，所以我选择劳逸结合，在规定的时间内学习和放松。

In the process of applying to the university and preparing for the language, which are the capabilities have you improved? (such as: time management, teamwork. Etc.)

In the process of applying for the school, I think my self-planning ability has been improved. I checked the schools’ official websites to understand the courses and combined my abilities to choose the right major and school. After setting the direction, in the language preparation stage, I think I improved my time management ability. Learning language is relatively boring, so I chose to combine work and rest to study and relax within the prescribed time.

不适应主要来源于两方面：一是在家学习注意力不能够集中；二是上网课的学校容易分心。所以，在家学习期间，我每天起床后，去我家后面的小公园散步，运动能够使我能够头脑清醒。虽然是上网课，但是老师都会录屏，下课后上传到学校的系统中，我下课后会巩固一遍，总结一下笔记。

After arriving in Ireland, faced with COVID-19 and an unfamiliar language environment, how to overcome the sense of unadaptability of learning in a foreign country?

The maladaptation mainly comes from two aspects: 1. Inability to concentrate when studying at home. 2. Cannot focus on the online classes. Therefore, while studying at home, I wake up every day and go for a walk in the small park behind my home. Exercising can make me mind clearly. Although it is an online class, the teacher will record the screen and upload it to the school system after class. I will consolidate it after class and summarize the notes.

我所在的学校-爱尔兰国家学院专门帮助国际生的国际生办公室，老师都很热情，询问问题都能得到及时有效地回答，定期还会发邮件，告诉我们学期的新计划，提醒我们一些注意事项，鼓励我们。

In my school- National College of Ireland has an International Office which specializes in helping international students, the teachers there are very enthusiastic, and the questions you ask can be answered in a timely and effective manner. They will also send regular emails to tell us about the new plan for the semester, remind us of some precautions and cheer us up.

爱尔兰是一个友好热情的国家，当地人喜欢社交，喜欢交流，在出国前，我是一个容易害羞的人，但是我现在比原来开朗了一些，也让我在思考时更关注于自己想要什么。

Ireland is a friendly and welcoming country. The locals like to socialize and communicate. Before going abroad, I was a shy person, but I am more cheerful than before. It also allows me to focus more on what I want when thinking.

虽然在疫情开始会有烦躁的情绪，但是调整心态，合理规划时间，会发现有更多可以利用的时间去做自己想做的事。

Although there will be irritability at the beginning of the epidemic, if I adjust my mentality and plan mytime reasonably, you will find that I have more time to do what I want to do.

我的专业是计算机，我认为这是一个很有发展的专业，我认为把想法一步步实现是很有趣的事情，毕业之后我打算回国，希望能够找到一份满意的工作。

My major is computer science. I think this is a very developing major. I think it is very interesting to realize the idea step by step. After graduation, I plan to return to China, hoping to find a satisfactory job.

我认为我身边的外国同学是我的榜样，他们中很多人都是靠自己攒钱和打好几份工来支持自己的学业。

I think the foreign classmates around me are my role models. Many of them rely on saving money and taking a few jobs to support their study abroad.

爱尔兰，是一个风景如画的小岛，这里的生活似乎也总像天气一样，有晴有雨。不同的专业方向和经历，可能会有不同的机会在等待着你。不要害怕失败，明天一定会更好。

Ireland is a picturesque island. Life here always seems to be like the weather. There are sunny and rainy days. Different professional directions and experiences may have different opportunities waiting for you. Don't be afraid of failure, tomorrow is another day.
